About this event

This event will be the third in our series of mini-conferences which will focus on specific areas within the Local Authority and Health, and will give parents an exceptional opportunity to hear directly from the Heads of each area, and other key professionals.

In this event we will be joined by the heads of the Health Services that are most relevant to children and young people with SEND including the Designated Clinical Officer, Speech and Language, Occupational Therapy, Dietetics, CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service), Transition to Adult Mental Health and Paediatrics.





This mini-conference will include:

  • a Q&A Session with a panel of heads of services
  • a workshop looking at building a connection with your child
  • a workshop on 'What you need to know about the GP Learning Disability Register and Annual Health Checks'
  • the opportunity for you to book a 1:1 meeting with a health professional to talk about specific individual issues with your child.

Frequently asked questions

Can I park at the venue?

There is a small car park at the venue but there are a limited number of spaces available. There are usually some parking spaces available in the surrounding streets.

Can I get to the venue by bus?

Yes, the venue is about 2 minute's walk from St Stephen's Church Bus Stop in Green Lanes, Bush Hill Park which is served by several bus routes including the W8, W9, 329 and 629 and about 6 minute's walk from Park Avenue (Hail and Ride) served by the 192 and 377 routes.

What is the nearest train station?

The nearest train station is Bush Hill Park, about a 10-minute walk away and is served by trains between Enfield Town, Edmonton Green and Silver Street.

What time do I need to arrive at this event?

We will start registration at 9.30 am and the event will start promptly at 10 am, so we recommend you arrive before 9.45 to give you time to register (as the registration desk may get busy). We will be serving tea and coffee while you wait for the event to begin.
